7:26 pm - pain pain pain!

alright well this is the part of the post that prolly most male readers will want to STOP reading....if u go on, i tried to warn u :P
ne ways so as we all know i just got back from camp...but about a week b4 i left for camp i started getting this sharp pain in my breast...well being a female and everything that that implies i right away made an appointment with my doc. i'd rather have it be nothing than let something bad sit...so the wednesday b4 i left i went in to see my doc. so after my apointment with my doc i was told that i have 2 cysts and a milk duct infection.....but apparently my doc says that its a normal occurance in teenage girls so i wasnt too worried about it at the time. so i was given some meds that had an ingredient that i'm allergice to in it, and was told to get an ultrasound when i came back from camp. so thankfully, i didnt react to the meds and spend all week at camp throwing up :P so i had booked my ultrasound b4 i left for camp and monday the 17th i was in and had it. so i get a call from my doc on friday (3 weeks after this all started) saying that they had finally recieved the results from the ultra sound and now i have an appointment for wednesday to go and get it all checked out.
now all i have to do is wait thru the pain....like when i was at camp taking my pills for the infection it didnt hurt at all! but now it hurts SOOOOOO much! like tonite i could barely lift my one arm to wash my hair it made it hurt sooo much!
so yup...this is my problem right now. apparently the cysts CAN be cancerous but apparently thats a very minor chance? i dunno. i guess i'll find out on wednesday when i go to see my doc. i've also been like sleeping a LOT lately...at first i just attributed it to the fact that i had just spent a week at kids camp with very little sleep every week on not so comfortable beds. but now its like getting so that i wake up after sleeping soundly for 10 or 11 hrs..say i wake up at 10:30 in the morning but then i'm exhausted again by 8 that evening. its just craziness!!!
ne ways..thats enough of me whinning for now :P

well the verdict is in: i have offically survived another kids camp! lol
since a few ppl have suggested that i get on writing about my many advantures up at camp, here ya go everyone! a special entry just for u :)
it might be long so i hope u all have time to read it, but if u dont, i'll break it down into days for u so u can just take in a lil at a time :P
saturday:
well the ride up was fun! i got to drive my own car with airconditioning and music and with the lack of being stuck in a bus seat and the smell of children vomitting on said bus lol. even tho i couldnt see out ne windows but the front side windows and the absolute front windshields and a ticking noise that bethany and i both joking thot was a bomb:P (it was sasha's alarm clock)well bethany and i ran out of radio stations just around lunch time...which was fine we had a few cd's in the car....well we ran out of cd's to listen to around wiarton so that means that we had like another hr of travelling without ne kind of music AT ALL! ooo it was so sad lol we were searching thru the stations trying to find a good one and all we got was either static or some crazy operah station! hehe ne ways the settling in at camp went well and i could already see major changes in some kids from the year b4 which was great!
sunday:
well sunday was our first full day. and, like saturday and the rest of the week it went very well. so...it was our first session and i was teaching with woody. it was a fun session, like all the sessions, we played games and learned how to plan things out so that we had the attention of all the kids for the times that we needed it :p it was SO beautiful on sunday, there was swimming and crafts and so much fun stuff. i really started to get to know the girls in the cabin that i was the leader for. i taught the 12 year olds so i mostly had those girls in my cabin. they were a very entertaining bunch to say the least lol. every night there was some new thing to make the whole room laugh hehe! ahh i love those girls and i'll definetly miss them :( ne ways! back to sunday lol. it was just an all around good day. i tried to stay in the shade as much as possible bcuz, silly me, i got a sun burn the day b4 :P i ran off an email to paul since i promised i would write and my dad actually let me near his laptop lol. oooo internet access at miller lake!!! HEHE
monday:
monday we had more crafts, and lots more sun! we had session like normal and such. after session i went on my dad's pc again to register for fall classes. after i finally got my scheduel worked out, i had a few mins b4 lunch so i check my emails and wrote paul back again lol getting emails is fun :) so than rest and relax time came around and while the kids were in their rooms i set sash up and he did his clases thing and than the day went as normal except at dinner we had our mystery dinner...which is were the kids get a sheet full of different words and u have to put them into meal slots...so like if u would have seen "beach towel" on there, and u put it on ur appetizers place u would have gotten a napkin as part of ur appetizer. its so much fun cos only the kitchen ladies know wot the words really mean.
tuesday:
well this day i had to do the cross devo and i thot it went really well. it was about courage and showing love to those around us who really need it, like the kid who sits all alone at lunch time or the one who doesnt have ne one to sit with on the bus...stuff like that. ne ways than the day went as normal, we had our last child arrive at camp, her dad was married the day we left for camp so she didnt get to join us till tuesday afternoon but she arrived just in time for our treasure hunt...which i planed *beams with delight* and i must say it went SO well! except for a team deciding that they didnt want to follow the rules and stuff but wotevs! it happens. ne ways, well that went well it did get put on hold for around 10-15 mins bcuz a boat on the lake decided to take a corner just a little too fast and it flipped right over right infront of our raft, so all the kids were all starring at that until we got them all settled and started the treasure hunt. than tuesday nite we had our island meal so we all dressed up like were were on a tropical island and stuff and it was just a really fun meal! we had our group photo as well after dinner. that nite the jr youth had their camp out again this yr...and since i was the only leader who isnt married with children i got to sleep out in a tent for the nite :) which was fine once we actually figured out how to set the tent up, which took a lot of "bernie!!!!! berniee!!!!!! thats wrong!" and than nickers quit on us and so did jonathon! but oooo but! moni came to our rescue and we got the tent up! so i kinda stole a mattress from the building on threat of death from jon is ne thing would happen to it lol. so yes the nite was amazing but jessie couldnt sleep so at 12:30 we took a lil walk up to the building from the sleeping area. but we had left our shoes outside. so out we go and than i go to put on my flipflops and there is this uberly slimmy thing on it! so i'm standing out there freaking majorly and i cant scream cos its the middle of the nite and i dont want to wake ne one up. so we finally figure out it was a slug and we go on our little walk, she gets some gravol and we go back to bed.
wednesday:
i wake up to the sound of rain outside at like 4:30 in the morning and i just go back to sleep. well than i get up at 6:15 to go have a shower b4 the day beginns and its still raining! which would be fine except we now have puddles INSIDE the tent! like all our sleeping stuff was wet and it just wasnt kool. well the day trip was suppose to be that day so it got moved to thursday. so the camp had to do a few adjustments. we played bingo in the afternoon and moved the crafts from thursday to wednesday and went on our way.
thursday:
our day trip. and we went to cyprus and it was amazing! poor bernie got a really bad sunburn on his back, but thats wot u get when u sit in the sun at like 1 in the afternoon for around an hr and dont put sunscreen on ur back! lol tisk tisk :P ne ways the trip was fun, no major injuries or ne thing. and to top off the afternoon we stopped in at tobermory and got some icecream at the best lil store in tobermory! that nite was the talent show. which went SO well! i was in charge of getting the kids organized and getting them something to do if they felt they didnt have a talent to show to the rest of the group. well the leaders did our own little rendition of "where is my hairbrush" from veggie tales. every man leader had a part and the females (there were only 4 of us) were the props...i was in charge of the door and getting sasha's hair to look right...which it didnt but oh well! lol it was too short to actually stand up the way that we wanted it too but thats alright, it still kinda worked.
friday:
well this was our finish up day. so we split the afternoon into sections. the first the oldest group did crafts while the younger swam and than after snack they switched. so it was an all around good day. we got everythign finished that needed to be finished. than after dinner we had our annual slide show which went great too...even tho our regular photographer couldnt come (we all missed u!) durning dinner we had our twin meal and i was a twin with one of the older campers....we wore a blue tank, light denim capris, skater shoes, had our hair down, makeup the same and both wore stolen baseball hats hehe it was so much fun. at camp fire that nite we had a lil protest...well i should say that the girls from my cabin and i did...we were probesting the killing of leeches and frogs...and contrarry to many ppls thinking, i actually didnt organize it! one of the girls in my cabin did...hehe my lil political activists :) that nite the leaders were awake till about 1 trying to get the crafts all sorted out and get some stuff packed and a few rooms all cleaned up.
saturday:
last day of camp!! it was a very busy morning with having to clean everything up and get all the kids packed and the bus and van packed...i had to take the bus back which was fine, i sat with emily and we listened to music while finishing bracelettes from camp. it was a good ride except for maybe a lil girl who kept waking me up every 10 mins after lunch and a certain person she was sitting beside who didnt even think to tell her to stopp bugging me while i was trying to sleep. but WOT EVS!
ne ways that was my camp! :) i survived! YAY! and thanks to all who actually read it all :P i know its a lot and i'm sure i left out a lot of things lol but i just cant remember everything! i got most of the important things down. hehe! hoped u enjoyed it :)

9:59 pm - wot a few days!

well its been a while since i really updated this thing! its been a crazy couple of days around here! a few days ago we got a new laptop to replace the one that was stolen in TO in march. and since everyone already has pcs around here, its come into my use for school! YAY hehe! so i'm putting all my stuff onto it now, like pics and fav webpages and setting it all up for when school starts it'll be all perfect :) hehe
i basically spent the whole weekend with mel lol. on friday we went shopping cos she needed to get a dvd player and stuff for her new place. than we grabbed dinner and went to the movies. we saw the breakup and it was kinda cute. like not as funny as either of us thot it would be but it was still good. and sara had already warned me that it wasnt all that funny. we were suppose to go see pirates of the carribean lol her mom went and got us advanced tickets and it doesnt even open till next week! lol so that was cancelled cos i'll be packing that day :P
ne ways so saturday we went to grandbend got a nice bit of sun, saw the sash and some ppl from both of our high schools lol...we played a lil golf and got the BEST drink i have ever had! like i'm gonna have to go back there just to get another one! than we came back and mel showed me her new place, or the outside lol. than today i went over and helped her move in! :) mel, heidi and i put together mel's bed (which looks AMAZING!) and then mel went over to her place to get her love seats and heidi and i decided to get rid of the ugly green couch in the basement to make room for them hehe! so we took a good 15 mins prolly trying to get this thing up like 3 or 4 stairs but 2 flights of them and around corners and up to the main floor lol..it was interesting and we had some good laughs outta it hehe! ooo the memories!
well that was really my weekend. wot else is gonna on righ now? well i get to register for some classes on tuesday and have a few plans for the rest of the week. but mostly wot i have to do is get ready for camp cos i leave on saturday lol. it seems like its coming up SO quickly!!! like i have all the stuff and should feel confident about being ready and stuff but still. every year this happens lol its just some part of u that feels inadequate to be having such a HUGE part in a childs life.
ne ways, other than that i'm still in the need of a job!! and i'm having second thots about my future career....AGAIN! like honestly if someone would just come up to me and be like "u r going to be a ---" that would be GREAT! like i know i have till the end of my undergrad to decide wot i want to do but its just so hard to make that decision that will determine the path of the rest of ur life! like i want to be a lawyer but i dont think i could cut it as a lawyer, like i have the passion for the kind of law that i want to go into (criminal prosecution or human rights) but i totally dont think i have the guts to actually get in there and do wot needs to be done. like i'm not a hard ass and i need to be one or i'd become one after working there. i want to be a judge but i'd have to be a lawyer for at least 10 years to become that so thats not really an option to look towards right now. i've wanted to be a teacher for almost as long as i can remember (after ballerina of course lol) but the hard thing is deciding wot i'd want to teach or wot age group or wotev..like i dunno lol i guess i'll come to that hurdle when i have to cross it :P but until then i've called my academic advisor to see if i can get a lil clarity on that one hehe!
ne ways thats my life right now in a nut shell :P a less complicated and diluted nut shell but never the less thats wot it is :P

alright! so right now, as most ppl will know, its "idol" season. alright so i was pretty dissapointed with the american idol winner..like come on ppl! taylor SUCKS! even when he won he couldnt sing the song which he is going to release on key! like honestly! alright, so on to the reason for this!
on the auditions show tonite there was rob james...as in mcmaster and james! HELLO! the show is for ppl who have talent and need a helping hand into the music industry! not someone who has already had a music career! of course hes going to get thru to TO COS HE HAS TALENT! and like last year! david moffat! again, he's alreay been there with his own band! let others have a chance! honestly!
ne ways, other than my lil rant-ness, i'm fairly confident that i'll be getting the job that i've been having interviews for the past few days so YAY! *fingers crossed*...and camp stuff is coming along so nicely! when i volunteered to run a semi-major event, i almost kicked myself after the meeting but now i have it almost all planned out and i'm so happy! YAY! i hope it turns out as great as it sounds in my head and on paper.

alright so this is a dream i recently had...shared with a friend and was told to "journal it!" cos she journals her dreams too lol...so here it goes! all names except my family and mine r changed for protection purposes :P
so its christmas time, and i'm sitting in a house with my mom,dad and david, and i look outside and there is this thing in our neighbours yard, in the snow and i'm like "o look a deer!" and my dad is like "no its a moose!" so he goes and gets a gun to shoot it! and then this moose goes into our neighbour's house which is robert's house and my dad goes running after it with this gun, then me i'm all upset bcus my dad is about to kill this animal so i'm in my housecaot and slippers and i run over and i see robert and matt (this guy from my poli sci class 2nd term) standing out side so i go up to robert and i'm like 'WTF! stop him!" and i'm like crying in the snow and robert just like puts his hand on my shoulder and is like "its all right" and then i go running back into my house, and then i'm on a bus some where and robert and matt get on and i ignore them and then its back to my house and robert's family is there with my family and i finally have stopped crying about this stupid moose and then i glare at robert really meanly and then go into our kitchen to get a cup to make hot chocolate and then he comes up, and asks really quietly in my ear "r u alright?" "yeah i'm fine....i'm sorry about earlier" "thats alright...wot r u doing?" "getting hot chocolate..want some?" "yeah" so i hand him the cup i was using which is a huge disney one of tinkerbell (one that i dont even own) and then asks if he wants a normal mug or a big one and he says a big one so i pull down a few for him to choose from and he picks one of peter pan scenes and its one that i actually own and then we go to the table and start making hot chocolate and just as i start to make his i wake up! and he doesnt even like hot chocolate!
like how random is that!? and no ppl who think they know who it is! it prolly isnt. lol

11:12 pm - totally insane!

alright so the day started off pretty good today. was up at 6 after going to bed at 1, totally unnormal for me bcuz like i was wide awake, but i was being attacked and killed in my dreams so like its all good that i woke up. so up i was and drove daddy to woodstock, did a few things in the morning which eventually led to the picking up of a friend and a visit to our highschool. OMGOSH! if i knew i was going to be there for over 2 hrs i would have worn something that didnt require me to wear a sweater over top.
NE WAYS! fashion aside, it was a GREAT day! saw mr hickey who was subbing today, so that was a great surprise..mr weber wasnt there (big surprize there) so my friend and i got to leave sticky notes for him in his office hehe, got to see all my old teachers that i liked and got told from one about his bachelor party.. YAY! congrats to u getting married on july 1st!!!! i'm so happy for him! then we finally tracked down the last teacher on our list and we actually stayed and talked to his class about university for like 45 mins, which was kool man but again, like kinda weird. hehe
lunch after and a trip to the eye doc's and back to school it was! only this time it was to laurier where my friend had to see a secretary about classes and that was fun since they r renovating the building she was suppose to be in and then we had to get directions to the new building which was a rez building adn then trying to find a door that was open...oo it was a grand old time :P
but yes that was my day...except for somme pain that only females can experience....seriously it felt like my uterus was being removed by a back-ally abortionaist..it was horrible lol
still looking for a job...gonna be calling around tomorrow and stuff but wot else is new :P

so was just chilling on the net this afternoon waiting for some phone calls and the hair straightner to warm up, having a semi-awkward convo with a friend of mine, (which as i write this just turned from semi-awkard to mean)when another friend and her screen name was the most priceless thing ever!

oteh, so as i was sitting at my pc last nite at like 11:30 saying goodnite to everyone i came across one of the news websites that i frequent and there was this article about the conflict happening in sudan right now and the many of lives that are being affected and/or destoryed by it.
thinking about it brought my memory back to "hotel rwanda". and a scene in there that basically puts into perspective wot is happening now. a reporter is sitting in the dinning area of the hotel with a few of his press buddies and some women and he goes up to paul (the main character) and tells him something that has stuck with me since the first time that i saw it last year. the reporter, jack, had just shown his superior some footage of innocent tutsi's getting murdered in the street down the road and paul comes up to jack and thanks him for airing the footage in the news that evening. to which jack replies: "I think if people see this footage, they'll say Oh, my God, that's horrible. And then they'll go on eating their dinners".
like, how horrible is that? and yeah so its done and over with but the conflict is no where close to being resolved! yes so the hutu army has been pushed out of rwanda and for the most part rwanda is conflict free at the moment, but where did the hutu army go? to the congo! so the conflict, instead of being resolved just gets pushed into a different country and is left for them to deal with. for their women to be raped and murdered in the middle of the nite. for their children to be taken from their homes and forced to become child soliders, to kill others, sometime their own family, their own mothers.
wot is it saying in today's society that we allow this to happen? and the conflict in darfur right now. honestly how many ppl know about it? i certainly didnt until last year when i had to do a project on some conflict that was assigned by my english teacher. and how many ppl actually knew about the protests happening both in canada and the US a few weekends ago about this very problem?
is our society really as "globalized" as it claims to be? yes ppl in thailand prolly know by now that tom cruise is a proud father of a darling lil daughter but do u think they know about wots happening in sudan? i think that this is an issue that needs to be addressed by ppl. how can we say that we are a civilized nation striving for the best way of life when rebel forces are killing each other in the middle of the nite and when the issue was brought to the presidency of the most powerful nation in the world their responce was "we'll intervene when they start acting responibly" obviously we're a society that cares about our neighbours....just as another closing quote from "hotel rwanda" ...
"There will be no rescue, no intervention for us. We can only save ourselves. Many of you know influential people abroad, you must call these people. You must tell them what will happen to us... say goodbye. But when you say goodbye, say it as if you are reaching through the phone and holding their hand. Let them know that if they let go of that hand, you will die. We must shame them into sending help"
wot an example that we are setting for our children and future generations..that we have to SHAME ppl into helping others who are in a situation when u know that their is almost certain death for them.

well today was pretty kool..or should i say that it really started with the funness last nite with the most weird dream i've ever had and kinda wish to never have a dream with all those ppl that i know in it all at the same time in the way they were in it last nite lol. but by 8:30 i was up and wide awake and it started off a pretty good day. i went to my eye docs to see wot was up with my contacts and we're trying a new brand to see if they work better, then i went to sara's and dropped off my application and resume for her work so she could take it in for me tomorrow, which will save me the hr and a half it would take to go to waterloo and come back again, and then i went to another store right near her house that is hiering and dropped off my application for there and resume and i actually have an interview for tomorrow! :) YAY! i'm so excited! out of the two i'd like to work there (no offence sara hun), i wouldnt have to wear a uniform, just dress clothes kinda since its a clothing store, plus its like a 10 mins bus ride instead of 40, and i get a discount on clothes that i'd want to buy...and i've already eyed up a bathing suit lol so tomorrow i go for my interview and hope that it goes well and that i'll be hiered and orientation will be early sunday morning! :) in addition, kids club tonite was really fun, altho we had one that was going crazy with a marker drawing on everything from the table, his mother's day card, his cousin and his own arm lol gotta love kids like that :) and then of course there was the pringels...oo if u want a mess to clean up, give 14 kids a lil container of pringles each and see how many crumbs u find afterwards :P but that all comes with the territory hehe...so yeah WOO great day! *still havnt gotten my poli sci mark tho :(*

6:04 pm - summer at last

well school is finally done. actually it was done about 2 weeks ago for me. i have most of my grades, 3 out of the 4. thankfully i passed spanish! WOO my other two that i have marks for i didnt do so well lol. all i'm waiting for now is for poli sci, which no one seems to know wots taking so long in getting the marks.
the summer seems to be shaping up to be beautiful! the weather is so gorgeous and i already have faced the pain of a sunburn lol.
last weekend i went to the zoo with some friends and it was so awesome! it was like i was a lil kid again, the animals were so cute! especially the baby ones hehe.- thats where the sun burn came from - it took the whole sunday but it was totally worth it! and thank God that the car didnt die! we were stuck in traffic in TO for about an hr and a half in the heat of the afternoon and usually that means that the engine dies..but it didnt! YAY i cant wait to see the pics from that day!
now that the summer has come for me, i'm faced with the challenge of finding a job to pay off my line of credit that i've racked up over the past couple of months. the day care job doesnt seem to be working out at the moment. i'll be contacting them again tomorrow to see where it stands but i cant really spend ne more time waiting around for the lady to get back to me. but another friend works at a grocery store and says that they are hiering as well so shes gonna pick up an application for me which totally rocks. that also means that i'll have to go pick it up and we can actually chill or something lol. yesterday as i was visiting a local christian book store for an application i picked up brian littrell's cd. which is totally amazing, and i'm not just saying that bcus hes a backstreet boy and i love them but his christian album is really really good. its sweet and touching and connects to u in the bottom of ur soul. if any one gets the chance to listen to it, i highly recommend it! :) and i also recommend not listening to number 5 while ur driving if u're really going to listen to the words lol bcuz driving and crying dont mix very well, and i speak from experience from yesterday :P
so now the next stage of life has begun, first year of university has been completed and i have the next 4 months to really figure out where i want to go with this experience of the whole double degree, if i want to go where i wanted to go b4 or if i want to take another path. its put into perspective things that have been in the back of mind lately, more so my relationship with certain ppl including God, which need to be addressed in order for me to continue to grow in my life and to get the most out of my future and be happy with my decisions that i'm going to make in that future. but really its all a matter of trusting the other person in those relationships right? lol trust and communication are key.
well theres the big update...hopefully over the summer i'll have more time to put in lil entires instead of trying to get down the past month or more in one shot lol

so the bday has come and gone and to answer everyones questions: no i didnt get smashed last nite, yes i'm feeling fine today, and it feels no different to be 19 than it did to be 18 lol i just can do legally wot i did b4 lol.
so the whole day went pretty well! :) the evening thing was a lil awkward, like ppl didnt know other ppl but i thot it went oteh. some ppl couldnt make it bcus it was easter weekend and family events trumps sitting in a resturant ne time lol but all in all it was pretty great! :) YAY
now if only i can finish off my two exams this week and get on with my summer of dancing it'll all be good! :) YAY SUMMER OF DANCING! throw in a lil working and camps and going camping in there and its all good (Y) hehe
